CoreLabs offers trained users the possibility to access selected instruments in independent mode, enabling researchers to conduct their own experiments while benefiting from advanced scientific infrastructure. Independent use is available for selected instruments, depending on their level of complexity and the expertise required for safe operation.
Independent Use Includes:
- Authorized access to selected instruments after completion of required training and certification.
- Self-managed experiment scheduling through the booking system.
- Operational guidance and safety compliance training provided by platform specialists.
- Technical assistance to ensure proper use of equipment.
This approach promotes user autonomy and efficient access to facilities, while ensuring that complex or sensitive instruments remain operated under the supervision of platform experts to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
Certification & autonomy
Access to instruments in independent mode is granted after completing the required safety and technical certifications. Users must first obtain HSE certification, delivered by the HSE Platform (RI&HSE Department), which ensures full understanding of laboratory safety standards and operational procedures. They must also complete instrument-specific training provided by CoreLabs platform specialists to validate their ability to operate the equipment safely and effectively.Following these trainings, users may be authorized to operate selected instruments independently, according to their level of expertise, under the supervision and guidance of CoreLabs specialists.
