UM6P CoreLab Hosts African BioGenome Project Workshop 2025
UM6P CoreLabs had the pleasure of welcoming several African researchers for a three-day intensive workshop held from 29–31 October, as part of the African BioGenome Project Open Institute – North Africa Regional Workshop 2025. During this event, participants engaged in a hands-on practical session entitled: "Hands-on Training on Illumina Workflows: Illumina DNA PCR-Free Library Preparation for Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) on NovaSeq X Plus." The training provided in-depth exposure to advanced next-generation sequencing (NGS) workflows, with a focus on PCR-free library preparation methods to ensure high-quality whole genome sequencing data using the NovaSeq X Plus platform. This workshop reflects UM6P CoreLab's commitment to strengthening genomics capacity across Africa and supporting collaborative scientific excellence within the framework of the African BioGenome Project. We sincerely thank all participants and partners who contributed to the success of this regional scientific initiative.
